Because if she goes on the date, no matter how she says she isn&#039;t available, or only interested in a friendship the inviter is likely to think that acceptance is a maybe rather than a no! and how is that fair?</description>

It was last minute (driving to pick her up when she called) and I felt like she&#039;d left me no option but to say, &quot;sure, your friend can come along!&quot; even though it wasn&#039;t my first choice. So, yeah. You&#039;re right about the first option not being classy. 

The second works for me. I shy away from giving people concrete answers about the future when one has not really spent time with them yet. Gut decisions about &quot;chemistry&quot; are, for me, nearly always wrong. 

Might just be me though. Glad to have you back!</description>
