Wondering what to wear to coffee? So there’s that cute boy you’ve had a crush on for some time. What better way to get to know him than to ask him on a coffee date at your local Starbucks?

Coffee is always appropriate for a first date, or even for a social gathering with someone when you’re not really sure if you should call it a date. You don’t want to dress too casual, but you also don’t want to dress to sexy for a coffee shop. There are several choices in coffee shop dress.

The first option for what to wear to coffee is to go with the casual skinny jeans and t-shirt look. Try to put on pair of heels if you can pull them off, and go light with the makeup. Just be yourself!

The next option of coffee shop dress is a skirt with buttons so you can decide how short or long to go. Don’t go with a mini-skirt on the first date.

The last option for a casual coffee date is a nice floral dress. Pair your dress with a nice sweater or cardigan, and a cute pair of flat shoes. Wear your hair down, and keep your makeup minimal so you don’t look like a circus clown! You can also add some jewelry to your outfit, but keep it small, no need to look gaudy as you’re deciding what to wear to coffee.

Keep in mind that coffee dates are the most casual of first dates, or non-dates. They are the perfect place to meet that guy that you’re not quite sure about. It’s a great chance to decide if your guy friend who is quite attractive is going to be more than just a friend. Wear what you are most comfortable with and have a great time!
